Does it make a difference?Ĭonversely, has anyone played this storyline then gone on to finish the base game main quest? Does this come up there? Does it make a difference when you're trying to treat with the gods? I still haven't hardly done anything with Act 3 of the base game yet. I haven't played far enough in the main base game quest with this character to get the revelations about the true nature of the gods. The story of Ondra and Abydon was interesting as was their thematic interplay. Granted, Ondra is the goddess of the forgotten deep so a giant Octopus kind of fits but it feels a bit rushed.Īt least the revelations leading up to that were pretty good. The Kraken looks like its there just to have a boss monster. Its also a little unsatisfying in terms of build up. I had to shut off the game immediately after to go to work. I'll grant you, maybe I'm not actually done yet. Maybe I was supposed to be more worn down from the Eyeless battles. I was 16th level, had a bunch of soulbound stuff fully unlocked, but the Kraken went down almost as fast as the Eyeless do. Maybe I was overleveled (though I did have high level content scaling on). I'll grant you, a Kraken seems like a big battle but I charged in and beat the tar out of it.
